Wildflower Tulip Bronze Charm (Tulipa batalinii Bronze Charm) is a wildflower type tulip in delicate shades of peachy-apricot that lighten to a bronzy yellow as the flower opens. We love the wildflower tulips for their beautiful colors and vigorous naturalizing habit. They can be mixed with other flowers, but we find them most expressive when planted where they can colonize an area.
Description
Wildflower Tulip Bronze Charm (Tulipa batalinii Bronze Charm) packs a lot of color for its diminutive size. The flower emerges in May as a beautiful, almost rose-like, bud in apricot-gold. As its leaves unfurl, we see the yellow to salmon petals tinged with bronze. At 4-6″ tall, plant ‘Bronze Charm’ with other wildflower tulips, in a rock garden or along a garden edge where they can delight the eye and naturalize (spread) in future years. Wildflower tulips are the only tulips that are deer resistant.
